What's New in Version 17.5 - November 2016

This topic lists all the additions and improvements incorporated in InfoNet 17.5 which were not available in previous versions.

Geodatabase tables can be imported using the ODIC

Geodatabase tables can now be imported using the Open Data Import Centre (ODIC).

Pre-commit validation

It is now possible for InfoNet to validate changes to the network when you commit the changes to the master database.

A validation data object is assigned to the network using the Pre-commit Validations Dialog and when the network changes are committed to the database, InfoNet checks if a pre-commit validation has been defined for the network. If it has, then the changed network is checked against the rules specified in the assigned validation object. If the network passes the validation, then the data is committed as normal. However, if it fails validation, the results are displayed in the Output Window and the objects, which failed the validation, are highlighted on the GeoPlan.

This function can be used to ensure that all users validate the network using the same validation rules before their changes are committed to the database. For further information, see Pre-commit Validation and Committing Your Changes.

WSA Survey Import/export

InfoNet now supports the import and export of data files in the Australian WSA (Water Services Association) text format. See Importing CCTV Survey Data and Exporting Survey Data for further information.

CCTV Survey - updated PACP and LACP support

Support for PACP and LAPC standards have been updated to the latest available versions.

InfoNet now supports v7.0.3 PACP and LACP formats.

See Choosing the CCTV Standard for further information.

SQL spatial searches now include a Nearest option

The Nearest option, which finds the nearest single object of a selected type within a specified distance, can now be included in SQL spatial searches.

Object property editor features

The following features have been added to improve usability in object property windows:

Set alternative coordinate system

The Set online map projection has been replaced by the more aptly named Set alternative coordinate system. The purpose of the option has not changed; you still use it to specify an online map projection system for databases which do not have a map control set in order to enable the use of online maps.
